Dancing Raisins, Junior Infants

Today we carried out an experiment with raisins and 7up. We placed the raisins in water and they sunk right to the bottom of the plastic cup. We then put the raisins into 7up and the raisins started to dance and bounce up and down in the glass. We learnt that 7up is full of gas, that's what makes it fizzy. The gas bubbles are full of carbon dioxide and that's what causes it to jump up and down. We put on some music for the rasins so they could dance. It was great fun.
