Spring walk

Circuits and a lighthouse

Is it waterproof? Senior infants

We did experiments today to see if things were waterproof or not.We saw that a plastic bag and a rubber glove stay much dryer than a sock and paper!

We had great fun making a volcano erupt! We added some bread soda to some vinegar and hey presto an eruption!!

String Telephone

We used paper cups and string to make telephones. We found out that sound travels along the string. Our voices travelled much better when the string was pulled tight.

Balloon rockets in Senior infants

We found out how to make our balloon rocket travel in a straight line by attaching it to a straw, which was connected to a long piece of string.We had great fun watching how far it would travel!

February Nature Walk: Senior infants

We went on a nature walk yesterday to mark the 1st of February.We saw buds on the trees and we saw daffodils that are just about to pop out! Lots of birds were chirping so it felt very Spring -like.
